& now here's Amber.
Hello Drops Of Motherhood readers! My name is Amber, I blog over at Sneakers Over Stilettos, I am also a photographer, for fun I sketch fashion designs {sometimes I attempt to sew what I sketch}, and I basically do whatever else I am inspired to do on that particular day.
When it comes down to how I like to live, I basically follow the foot steps of my four year old Ethan. I am lucky enough to have a husband who works hard enough that I am able to be a SAHM. It's a luxury that I am always greatful for and know is rare nowadays.
Ethan is a very smart little boy, sometimes to smart. One day he wants to be a fire fighter, and the next he wants to be racecar engineer. He asked me once how he could do both of these things at the same time. I realized that he didn't ask WHY he couldn't, instead he asked HOW he could.
After that I organized my time so I could do ALL the things I wanted to do when I was four. Of course with a busy four year old and a grumpy one year old there are sometimes weeks at a time when I don't get to do anything creative. Well at least not during the day. And while doing all these things does make me a busier person, I found that taking my little ones along with me to pick up art supplies, or if I am shooting a portrait session at a pretty park, they are more then happy to come along.
We are a busy family, always on the go. I do my best to incorporate my little ones into what I do. Being a photographer, who makes better subjects then your own family if you need to update your portfolio. Or who better to paint, or make something for then your kids. And if its something they can help you make its just that much greater!
Taking more time for ourselves is something that I think a lot of Mama's struggle with until they see the rest of the family will be happy because the mama is happy. When you are creative it will pass on to your little ones. Ethan loves taking his camera with him everywhere. And I can see that Peyton has developed a love for clothes like her Mama!
Thanks so much for reading my guest post, and I hope you will come and read some more of our adventures over at Sneakers Over Stilettos.
Thanks so much Jess for having me guest post!
